Well folks it looks like after all the dust has settled the Seahawks will be hosting our arch-rivals the 49ers who just finished-off Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers 23-10 to win the right to travel up to the Clink next week for the NFC Championship Game. This game will match what many believe are the best two teams in the NFL this year and whomever wins this one will eventually go on to MetLife stadium in February to win the Super Bowl.
Like a lot of you here in Seattle I was rooting for the Panthers knowing that they would be an easier team to beat just like we did in the 2005 season to allow us to head to NY unscathed. But after watching this weekends games I not only feel we are ready for Jim Harbaugh’s team, but want them big time to settle this grudge-match once and for all after splitting the regular season affairs.
I imagine that most of the pundits and even Vegas will favor the 49ers, however if we can get Percy Harvin back on the field and Russell Wilson somehow finds his early season form, I think we will win this one allowing me to use the plane ticket I already have to fly to NY in 3 weeks to fulfill my BucketList dream of watching the Seahawks finally win it all after 38 years of torture.
The next thing on my agenda is to score a couple of tickets for the NFC Championship game without busting my Super Bowl budget by too much. It looks like I am going to have to pay between 4-5 hundred bucks each for nose-bleed tickets to the ” Super Bow West”. Oh well you only live once as they say, and if Marshawn Lynch has anything close to the game he had against the Saints yesterday I think we are going all the way! Go Hawks!http://jeffsmariners.com
