Seager deserves much credit for remaining so focused. I'll be more impressed when the team gets back to .500. Dump League while he still has value...

Thanks for the shout-out Jeff! It was a great game and I too was glad that Casper got some playing time for once! I was pretty excited about Brendan Ryan's hits too!

Veteran Leadership might help, but these tightwads would serve us up some kind of peanut butter and jelly sandwich instead. Rough game for all the starters, ouch!

True, All true. Since the invention of George Steinbrenner, Yank teams are always built on a re-enforced concrete foundation devised for playoff baseball, while M's are built for the sand box, relying on luck, hopes and prayers. An excruciatingly incompetent history with signing second string free agents, while forcing Minor Leaguers to the Big Leagues before they're ready. The Yankees sent Montero here for seasoning at the catcher's position, and will give him the requisite 20 mill when the time comes. I'm sure, as well, Brian Cashman will issue Howie and Chuck a Thank You card for all the trouble.

I am forever amazed at how many MLB players can't deliver the sac bunt when they need to. A rotten AB for Ackley. Even a ground ball to the right side... Dustin and his BA needs to kick it up a notch, he's a much better player than he's showing.

The M's received in the Fister trade a 3rd baseman who is doing well with the AA Jackson team. He is 6-3 and lanky, but he is the fastest guy in their league. He is hitting over .300 and leading the league in SB. Up top the Mariners look well stocked at 3rd base, but this guy can play!

Last night's game was awesome. They lost the hitting totals 9-5, but what the hell................. Ichiro taking a walk in the 9th?????????????
Montero is the MAN. And Jaso; look at his stats (even though Wedge doesn't like to). He performs and he does it in the clutch, and holy cow, is he the only guy in MLB to shave before going on TV? I want a job like that and I would work for 1/2 of what they get paid.

I am glad Wedge is changing around the line up a little. Guys that are hitting need to be in the line up daily (Jesus, Jaso, Liddi, Seager). Because the truth is unless they are playing the Tigers everyday, 5 hits per game will not win much. Go you M's.

When I watch League pitch I do this thing I usta do as a kid watching an Alfred Hitchcock movie, keep my hands over my eyes and peek through my fingers with sweat coming down my face. I somehow know something is coming and don't want to see it.
