Beast Mode is Back on the Menu for the “Aints”

My Ticket Stub from First " Beast Mode" Game with the Saints

My Ticket Stub from First ” Beast Mode” Game with the Saints

The New Orleans Saints led by Drew Brees  are no pushover despite the tendency for us here in Seattle to be looking forward to a NFC Championship game against our arch-rivals the San Francisco 49ers. As a matter of fact it was only three years almost to the day when I purchased the above ticket ( For about half of what they are going for these days) and headed down to root for our then 7-9 Seahawks in what was concerned a mismatch by all the pundits, including a few here.

Well by now everyone knows the story of how the lowly Seahawks led by Matt Hasselbeck (Currently the back-up QB for the Colts)  playing for our new head coach at the time Pete Caroll, went on to win the game thanks in no small part to an epic run by Marshawn Lynch who had come over from the Bills after having a few Beastly episodes with the law (may explain his reluctance to still speak with reporters).

I recall actually falling over on to my friend Kevin as I craned my neck trying to watch Lynch ice the game with his spectacular run. We like a lot of folks just spontaneously started jumping up and down as he neared the goal line to help create what we found out later was an actual earthquake here in Seattle.

Tomorrow I am predicting that Marshawn Lynch has his best game of the season to compliment Russell Wilson and Percy Harvin and the rest of the offense to send the “Aints” packing again pack down to the Gulf of Mexico.

I have decided to stay home and watch this one from my coach to save a few bucks for the next game along our quest for a Championship in a Major Sport here in Seattle, but I’m hoping to feel the rumble here in Fremont of the 12th man going crazy when Lynch takes off again like he did three years ago.
